Guide / 01
Carry a phone and a few small items
The zipped chest pocket measures 20 × 13cm; each shoulder pocket measures 10 × 5cm. Measure your phone with its case and keep the shoulder-pocket load compact.
No pack capacity, trekking attachment or hydration system is specified. For a long hike, compare the kit list with a purpose-built day pack.
Guide / 02
Adjust for walking layers
The waist belt adjusts from 26–40 inches. Try the vest over the layers you plan to hike in, and check that it stays comfortable when you reach, bend and move.
If you expect to carry water, extra clothing or emergency equipment, plan additional storage rather than relying on the small pockets.
Guide / 03
Protect electronics on exposed routes
The chest pocket is water-resistant, not waterproof. Add a separate protective pouch if your route may be wet or exposed.
