A phone carrier, not an ultra pack
Ultra running vest phone pocket
For an ultra-distance event, a phone pocket is only one part of the kit. The Défi vest holds a phone and small items, but it is not described as a hydration pack or full-capacity ultra vest.

Guide / 01
Plan the complete route load
The 20 × 13cm chest pocket and two 10 × 5cm shoulder pockets are intended for a phone and compact essentials. They do not provide the capacity of a full ultra pack.
No water bladder or bottle is specified as included. Plan hydration, nutrition, layers and required safety equipment separately for your distance and conditions.
Guide / 02
Check fit with the phone loaded
The waist belt adjusts from 26–40in. Try the vest over event clothing with your phone and intended small items, then test it during training.
Measure the phone with its case and compare it with the chest pocket before ordering. Do not assume every device will fit.
Guide / 03
Account for weather and event rules
The chest pocket is water-resistant, not waterproof. Add dedicated phone protection where rain or water exposure is expected.
Check event mandatory-kit rules and confirm your chosen pack can hold everything required. This vest may complement a kit, but it does not replace a suitable ultra pack.
